Kansas City International Airport (KCI) is visited by thousands of national and international travelers per month. So it is no surprise that they have a very effective transportation system setup to carry worldwide visitors to and from the areas surrounding KCI. When picking a form of transportation to or from KCI there are a few things you will want to consider, like how much luggage you or your group is traveling with and the ages of everyone going on the trip.
Shuttle Service
A few hotels, inns, and motels offer free shuttle service to and from KCI and their establishment; so call and check around as this can save you time and money.
Door-to-door shuttle service is available through 10+ companies for a reasonable price. Companies such as Quicksilver Airport Service, Rick’s Express, Spirit Shuttle, SuperShuttle, and MO-X all service KCI, but most of them require reservations to be made 6 or more hours in advance so please take this into consideration when making travel plans.
Bus
Public bus service is provided by Metro. The Metro runs to and from KCI and operates Monday – Friday 365 days a year. A one way ticket will cost you $1.50 and fare boxes only accept exact change. In addition seniors and persons with disabilities are charged a reduced fare.
Rental Car
Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National, Payless, and Thrifty all share the Rental Car Facility located off airport grounds. They also share the Gray Rental Car Shuttle which can be accessed at any one of the marked shelters.
Limousine & Executive Car
There are about 20 Limo companies to choose from which means competition has drastically dropped the price of this service. If you are looking for a high class ground transportation means in and out of the airport this may be right for you. Remember all reservations must be made in advance; otherwise you will have an extremely long wait time. For a full list of companies visit: http://www.flykci.com/direction/limo/Index.htm
Taxi Cab
Taxi Cab service is usually the cheapest way to travel in and around the airport. Taxi service is readily available and currently the going rate for a ride is about $2.10 per mile. Kansas City ordinance statesthat all taxi cabs must take all trips no matter the length, so if any of the drivers refuse to take you; collect their name, vehicle number, call 816-243-5215 and report them.
Tips
Whenever you are traveling it is better to make reservations in advance; it saves time and money. Check online as well as phoning the companies, because many deals/specials can only be found online. Also ask if your hotel is partnered with any specific rental companies, as hotel and car bundles work out to be cheaper for the most part.
Remember to only ride with authorized drivers; ask to see their airport identification badge and check the vehicle to make sure it is authorized with the airport decal one the bumper.

Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is one of Florida’s main airports; covering an area of 7,911 miles this airport serves as one of the major gateways into Florida. When flying into any airport it is very important to have everything planned out; this will ensure that your trip is very easy and enjoyable. Listed below are all major forms of ground transportation entering and exiting JAX; read the list through and then make a decision.

Shuttle Service
Door-to-door shuttle service is made available via American Airport Shuttle, Bon Voyage Transportation, Express Shuttle, EZ Airport Shuttle, and Pearl Executive Shuttle. This kind of service may be right for you if you are traveling with a lot of luggage, or traveling in a small group. Most companies request that you make reservations in advance so please plan accordingly.
Many hotels, motels, and inns offer complimentary shuttle service between the airport and their place of business; so please contact the hotel that you plan to stay at and find out if they offer this service. Spending a few minutes to do this can save you a lot of time and money in the long run.
Free shuttle service is also provided by JAX to and from all parking lots (expect the parking garage) this service operates 24/7.

Bus
If you wish to use public transportation means to get from downtown Jacksonville to JAX; get on one of the AirJTA buses. This service will cost you $3 per one-way trip, please keep in mind that AirJTA doesn’t operate on weekends. In addition most public buses only allow you to carry one piece of luggage with you, making this service best for persons who travel “light”.

Rental Car
Seven car rental companies are conveniently located on airport property; this includes big names in the rental business like: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, and Thrifty. When returning a car to one of these companies use the ground floor parking garage entrance, this is right beside the terminal building.

Limousine & Executive Car
Companies such as JAX Limo & Airport Transportation, Jacksonville Limousine, and AYS Limo service JAX and you can expect to pay $50+ per hour of service. This service is not that expensive when compared to taxi and shuttle rates.

Taxi Cab
Although there are other taxi services available; Gator City Taxi is the official taxi company of Jacksonville International Airport. Service is conducted on an on-demand basis and airport staff are standing by to help you get the best fare possible.

So you’ve decided to use Indianapolis International Airport (IND) to travel. Well there are few things you should know before finalizing your travel plans. For your convenience I have listed all major means of ground transportation available at IND; read each one carefully and then make a decision.

Shuttle Service
As with most major airports; IND has a horde of hotels, inns, and motels surrounding it. Many of these offer free shuttle service between IND and their establishments, it may work cheaper to book a room at one of these hotels because you wouldn’t have to pay any transportation fee to the airport.
Door-to-door service is provided by companies such as Indianapolis Airport Shuttles. With this kind of service, you will be picked you up at your door and the driver will help you load and unload your luggage, so although it is a little expensive it is worth the money.
Bus
If you have a small amount of things; the IndyGo Green Line public bus service may be right for you. IndiGo Green Line operates on 29 routs daily and will carry you to all major hospitals, malls, and the downtown area. The Express ride from the airport will cost you about $7.00 and a non express ride will cost you $1.75. This is one of the better means of getting around during rush hour, because there are specialized bus lanes, and the more persons you have riding the buses; the less vehicles you have on the road causing traffic.
Rental Car
Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty all have counters at IND, so there is no need for Rental Center Shuttles. Just walk over to the Ground Transportation Center on the parking garage’s first and talk with one of the representatives. It’s as simple as that.
Limousine & Executive Car
If you are looking for luxurious top of the line service; check out any of the nine limousine companies licensed to pickup and drop off costumers at IND. Most of these companies offer on-demand service but since availability is limited you should make reservations in advance. On-demand limousine providers are located on the Parking Garage’s first floor.
Taxi Cab
For some reason the taxicabs charge about the same fee as the limousine companies. The minimum fare is $15 to all destinations outside the airport, and you can be prepared to pay an hourly fee if you make the driver wait for any reason. Nonetheless this may be one of the better means of transportation for persons traveling alone.

Taxi Cab
ELP has three taxi companies (Border Cab, Sun City Cab, and United Independent Cab.) that are licensed with airport permits and it is strangely suggested that you do business with these three companies. These companies offer service 24/7, 365 days a year and you can expect to pay at least $10 to anywhere in the city; places outside of city limits will cost you more. For more information; contact anyone of the companies listed above.

Located 6 miles east of downtown Ohio; Port Columbus International Airport (CMH) is one of the nation’s best airports. More than 6.5 million visitors pass through these doors per year. The airport has a very nice feel to it; artwork such as drawing done by kids, paintings, and photographic are all on display and give the airport a real artistic feel. CMH has a very comprehensive ground transportation system put in place to help the 6 million+ visitors get in and out of the airport with virtually no problem. It is up to you to make the best of it by planning ahead.
Shuttle Service
Arch Transportation, Super Shuttle, and Urban Express Transportation all offer shuttle service to the heart of the city. Shuttles from these companies leave every 20 minutes so calling ahead of time is not necessary.
In addition many hotels located near major airports provide free shuttle service between the airport and their business, so call the hotel you plan to book with and ask them if they offer this service.
Bus
Charter buses are readily available, and CMH has recommended the following companies: AC Coach Operations, America Interstate, Arch Express, Bliss Charters, Branson Corp, Cardinal Transportation, Cavalier Tours, Central Cab, and Cleveland Southeastern Trails. Please contact any one of the companies listed above for prices and hours of operation.
Rental Car
CMH has one of the best car rental setups in the United States; the airport has eight rental companies present: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. After you have made your decision and paid for the car you do not have to leave the building to pick it up, because the check-in counters are located on the ground floor of the parking garage.
Limousine & Executive Car
With so many companies in the business; limousine service is getting cheaper by the minute. To find a limousine company that serves the Columbus area do a quick internet search. You can expect to pay $50-$100 an hour for this kind of service and you will receive a very courtesy driver dressed in suit and tie attire.
Taxi Cab
Taxi service is available on an on-demand basis only; IE you cannot make any reservations. There are taxis waiting to do business with you 24 hours a day all year-round, and a trip via cab to the downtown area will cost you approximately $25.00.

If you ever need to use the service of this airport there are a few things you need to know about the ground transportation setup, listed below are all major options of ground transportation.

Train /Shuttle Service

The RTA Red Line train is one of the most cost effect ways to travel in and out of the airport. The train operates from Monday to Saturday 4:29am – 7:45pm and on Sunday from 4:32am – 1:14am. A one way ticket will cost you $2.25 or you can purchase an All-Day pass for $5.00. Trains leave about every 15 minutes and transit time to Downtown Cleveland takes about 30 minutes. The RTA station can be found on the lower level of the main terminal.

Many of the hotels in the greater Cleveland offer courtesy shuttle from CLE to and from their establishments so please consider this when making accommodation plans.

Bus

Public bus transportation service is provided by Lorain County Transit (LCT) and for a small fee you can take one of their buses to Elyria Park or Ohio and Oberlin College.

Rental Car

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty all offer car rental service for CLE. All car rental service is provided from a central location off airport ground, to access this center just get on one of the free shuttle buses located on the roadway island. The ride takes about 7 minutes and the shuttle buses operate 24/7 all year round.

Limousine & Executive Car

Limo service is provided by about 26 limo companies, as always all reservations should be made in advance. Unlike other airports; CLE allows all state licensed limo companies to pick up and drop off costumers at their airport, so calling around and comparing prices is a real good idea.

Taxi Cab

Unlike their Limo service; CLE has only allowed three companies to pick passengers from their airport. Ace Taxi, Yellow Cab Co., and Americab are the only companies allowed to pick up passengers but all other companies are welcome to drop off costumers. All taxi fears are pre determined so there is no need to try and barging down the price. You can expect to pay about $12.00 for a 5 mile journey. For a complete list of fears please visit: http://www.clevelandairport.com/site/521/default.aspx

Hilton, Hampton, Holiday Inn, and Marriot are a few of the many hotel chains that offer this service. Call the hotel that you plan to stay at and ask if they offer this service; this will save you time and money because you will not have to worry about finding transportation to and from the airport.

If you are traveling with a lot of luggage it may be best to hire a door-to-door shuttle service. With this kind of service you will receive a very courtesy driver that will help you load and unload your luggage and transport you to your destination. Premier airport Van, Prime Time Shuttle, Roadrunner Shuttle, and Super Shuttle are all on BUR’s recommendation list. Most of these companies require that you make reservations in advance, so please do so.

Bus

Metro provides public transportation in and around LA and they have a special airport route that connects BUR with the surrounding cities. A base fare of $1.25 is charged each time you board the bus making this the cheapest way to access BUR. Please remember that there are limitations on the amount of luggage you are allowed to carry on with you. For more information about this service please visit: http://www.mta.net/

Rental Car

Four car rental companies (Alamo, Avis, Hertz, and National) are located on airport grounds, and six more (Bestway, Budget, Discovery, Enterprise, Eqocar, and Midway) are located in the immediate area. These companies have a very good selection of cars available, so finding one that you like should not be a problem.

Limousine & Executive Car

Limo service is readily available and can be found by doing a quick internet search or checking the local yellow page. Please keep in mind that most limo companies require you to make reservations in advance.

Taxi Cab

If you would like to use the service of a taxi to travel between BUR and the surrounding areas; City Cab, United Taxi, Yellow Cab, and Checker Cab are all available. Airport staff are on hand to make sure you get the service you deserve, so if you have any questions feel free to ask them.

If you plan to use this facility to access Buffalo or any of the surrounding areas; there are a few things you should know. One: ground transportation is readily available, and two planning ahead of time is always the best thing to do when traveling. Listed below are all major types of ground transportation available at BUF.

Shuttle Service

Door-to-door shuttle service is made available through companies like Airport Shuttle Services, and Airport Taxi. It is a good idea to use this service if you are a local resident, because you can leave you car at home; which means you will not have to pay extended parking fees.

It is very common for hotels near major airport to offer free shuttle to and from their locations. Call your hotel in advance and find out if they offer this service; this will save you time and money.

Bus

Public bus transportation is provided by NFTA-Metro; this service is usually the cheapest way to travel in and around the city. Prices vary between zones 1, 2, 3, and 4; in addition there are special discounts for children (5-11) and senior citizens (65 and up). For a complete list of fares visit: http://www.nfta.com/metro/Fares.asp

In addition many charter bus companies offer service to and from Buffalo; it is a good idea to check out this kind of service if you are traveling as a group.

Rental Car

BUF has five major vehicle rental companies on-site: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National. Three other companies that are not located on airport property but highly recommend by BUF are: Boulevard Van City Thrifty Car Rental, and Dollar Car Rental.

Limousine & Executive Car

Twenty plus limo companies offer service to BUF, if you shop around you should be able to secure this service for a little more than the price of a taxi. Keep in mind that most limo companies require you to make reservations in advance.

For a complete list of limousine companies recommended by BUF please visit the website at the bottom of this page.

Taxi Cab

Airport Taxi, Ambassador Taxi, and TAXI-I.T.A. all provide taxi service in the Buffalo area. Fare to downtown Buffalo will cost you about $35.00 depending on what company you chose to do business with. Service is operated both on reservations and on-demand basis, so getting one of these cabs should not be difficult.

Tips

Whenever you are traveling it is better to make reservations in advance; it saves time and money. Check online as well as phoning the companies, because many deals/specials can only be found online. Also ask if your hotel is partnered with any specific rental companies, as hotel and car bundles work out to be cheaper for the most part.

Nashville aka Music City is home to Nashville International Airport (BNA), always alive with visitors this airport is your gateway into a world alive with art and music. While making your travel plans; it is a smart idea to plan ahead and decided what kind of transportation you are going to use to get from the airport to your destination. Listed below are all major means of transportation. Check them out.

Shuttle Service

20+ hotels near BNA offer free shuttle service between their business and the airport. Booking with one of these hotels will make your trip a lot less hectic, but they do charge a little higher price than the motels located outside the city. Call around, compare prices, and make a reservation; I am sure you will be thankful you planned ahead.

Bus

Public transportation is provided by Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and for the small price of $1.35 you can take a one-way trip from the airport to the downtown area. This is one of the cheapest methods of transportation available at BNA, but if you have a lot of luggage you might want to think about using a service like SuperShuttle that provides 24 hour door-to-door service.

Rental Car

The major car rental companies you will find operating out of BNA are Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. These companies are located in the South Rental Car Parking Lot, North Rental Car Parking Lot, and Short Term Parking Lot so it will only take you a few minutes on foot.

Limousine & Executive Car

If you are planning to you the service of a Limousine or Executive Car you will need to contact one of the 23 companies that service BNA. Companies like Alpha Limousine offer 24/7 limo service to and from BNA, various parts of Nashville and the surrounding areas. Although most companies provide 24/7 service, you will want to make reservations in advance; this will insure that you do not have to wait around for the limo to arrive.

Taxi Cab

All taxis at BNA run on meters that start at $7.00 from the airport; the price goes up $2.00 for every mile after that. A trip into the downtown area will cost you $25.00; this fare is not negotiable so there is really no use in trying to do so. The list of taxi companies licensed to do business at BNA includes: Allied Cab, American Music City Cab, Yellow Cab, Checker Cab, Diamond Cab, Nashville Cab, and United Cab. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are also provided by most companies, but you have to call in advance and make reservations.
